Van hails from South Africa. Her keen interest in Biology and a passion to be of service to others inspired Van to pursue her tertiary education, graduating as a Physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.
In 2008, Van migrated to Australia, settling in Adelaide for four years, before relocating to Perth with her growing family.
Over the years, Van has gained considerable experience working in various health care settings from hospital to private practice, aged care facilities as well as in a rehabilitation facility within Australia and in South Africa.
Van is a hands-on physiotherapist who uses evidence-based treatment approaches to optimise recovery within a short time frame. She uses a variety of treatment modalities which includes dry needling, soft tissue and joint mobilisations, therapeutic exercises and functional rehabilitation. Van has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions, orthopaedic rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation and gerontology. Being a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Van is always striving to further her skills and knowledge to provide a higher standard of care to her patients.
Van is welcoming to clients from all walks of life. She believes in treating her clients with utmost care, respect and dignity. Even though Van presents with a petite stature, her physical strength will surprise you, taking you leaps and bounds on your journey to recovery.
